In the world of wedding photography, each day is an adventure. I’ve shot weddings since 2005. Your special day is unique. It’s this individuality I capture: those special treasured moments.
Based in Glasgow and working across the country, I’ve captured magic in most of the main venues; as well as at beaches, mountains, mansions, castles, waterfalls, ski slopes, farms, fields, and forests. I love the excitement and meeting new people. I’ve climbed mountains to get to weddings. 2013, I trekked up Glencoe to photograph the first ever wedding in the majestic expanse of The Lost Valley, which featured in the national newspapers.
I’ve photographed weddings in all weather conditions, from bright sunshine to snow, heavy rain and in low light - and that’s in one day! Sometimes I say to Brides “Don’t worry about the weather! That’s my job.” I shot a wedding on Camusdarach Beach, made famous by the cult film, Local Hero, in torrential rain. What did the Bride and Groom think? Check out the tribute from Chrissie and Paul in my Testimonial section.
My work features in blogs such as Braw Brides and Scottish Wedding Directory; articles such as Pets at Weddings and Tie the Knot magazine. I’ve been short listed in major competitions: the Royal Photographic Societies International Print Competitions 2017, 2015, 2014, also in Professional Photographer of The Year Awards 2013 and 2010.
I am a member of The Royal Photographic Society, and artist member of The Glasgow Art Club. In July, I will be displaying one of the first solo photography exhibitions at the Club in its 150-year history.
